It’s Tea Time

Take a break from your tour of the Estate, and stop in at the Mackenzie King Tearoom. It’s located in the Moorside cottage, one of cottages that were owned by the former prime minister. Soak up the romantic atmosphere while you linger over English tea or savour a light meal, in an elegant and historic setting. The veranda overlooking the gardens is itself worth the visit.

The restaurant is wheelchair accessible.

Tearoom Hours of Service
Mid-May to mid-October

From October 20 to 22, please call to confirm hours of operation.

The tearoom is closing for the season on October 22, 2016, but the grounds are always open.

You can still enjoy hiking, skiing and snowshoeing on some of the Gatineau Park trails that pass through the Estate. Before you visit, check the seasonal road closures.

From October 16 to 22, a reduced menu will be offered, but traditional tea is still being served.
