Breaking Barriers to Accessibility

Accessibility in Canada’s Capital

This workshop will focus on creating greater awareness of accessibility in the Capital’s downtown core. What can we do to make it more accessible for all to enjoy? The NCC asked a group of evaluators to visit some of the downtown sites and report back on the barriers they encountered.

Accessibility groups, as well as municipal, provincial and federal stakeholder groups will be attending this workshop.

Anna-Karina Tabuñar, Founder and President, Iona Street Media, Ottawa and her team of evaluators will present their experiences exploring the downtown core from a universal accessibility perspective
